Abu Simbel-famous for temples

A small town situated almost on the border with Sudan.  The city is famous for temples, created in the 13th century BC  Pharaoh Ramses II.  Twice a year, one can observe a unique miracle of light (or the fantastic skill of ancient architects) at 6:00 in the morning the first rays of the rising sun penetrates the temple to a depth of 65 meters and covers the face of the gods.  This happens twice a year in the Pharaoh's birthday and the day of his coronation.
