Mamluk necropolis - the world's largest necropolis, known as City of the Dead. This huge and very old cemetery - the earliest burials date from the 12th century, and their total number is about two hundred thousand. It is situated north of Cairo's Citadel. Interestingly, in the Mausoleum of Mamluk Mamluk notables, along with remains of Mohammed Ali Pasha, finally destroy them.
