Middle-aged woman do not have movie star looks, tired of her husband, mother in law and pans, it turns out, looking for what they have always lacked: sex and frivolity. The women are all at an affordable price in Jamaica, Cuba and the resorts of the Dominican Republic, where for a week receive the "groom", they dream of - 20-year-old boy with an attractive appearance.
Until now it was believed that sex tourism - a lot of men. Analytical studies conducted until recently, simply did not see the episodes where a woman pay for the sexual services, because the one who pays, in the eyes of a sociologist, by definition, man.
Interviewing 240 women spending their vacations in Negril and two similar resorts in the Dominican Republic, two female sociologists have received information that, contrary to expectations, evidence of the existence of "pink" sex tourism: about a third of women surveyed said that during the recess had physical intimacy with local young people. 60 percent of them admitted the existence of "elements of economic interest" in these respects.
All of them gave a negative answer to the question of payment for services "Gigolo", but many of them to justify sex in exchange for money, calling it economic aid personnel or even the local economy.
In Jamaica, about 17% of the population lives below the poverty line. The only source of livelihood are tourism and agriculture. 40% of those who have the opportunity to learn, leave the island. Others prefer sex tourism is not only because of the actual sex, but because of the extraordinary attention that envelop them young people from Negril.
