Large inhabited island : Canary Island

Canary Islands (Canaries) - an archipelago of seven islands of volcanic origin in the Atlantic Ocean, off the northwest coast of Africa (Morocco and Western Sahara). Islands belong to Spain and are one of the autonomous communities of this country. 
The archipelago consists of seven large inhabited islands and several small ones. In the center is the largest island - Tenerife (Tenerife) (2,057 sq. km.). To the east is La Gomera (378 sq. km.), Hierro (277 sq. km.) And Palma (La Palma) (728 sq. km.). Island of Grin Canaries (Grin Canaries) to the west of Tenerife. This - the third largest island of the archipelago (1532 sq. km.). To the west go (1,730 sq. km.) And Lanzarote (795 sq. km.). Of the six small islands only island Grasiosa (27 sq. km.) - Inhabited. To the east are the islands Alegransa (10 sq. km.), Montana Clara (1 sq. km.), Lobos (6 sq. km.), Roque del Oeste and Roque del Ester. Total -13 islands. 

Geographically they are in a group of volcanic islands along with the Azores, Cape Verde Islands and Madeira.
