Rauk area at Gamle Hamn on Faro in Sweden

Got land in general is very beautiful in many places. But there is still something very special about Faro. The island which lies just north of the main island and which has such nice rauk areas, a very flat but special landscape with juniper moors, marshes and pine forests, sandy beaches and fishing villages. Many stone walls and stone houses.

The rauk area at Gamle Hamn is the most famous and most characteristic rauk there called the rauk port Faro Kaffepannan Faro or FaroHunden Faro. This is a nature reserve where there is also an old burial ground from the Viking Age and the remains of a medieval church.

Faro is Sweden's eighth largest island and is also known because both of Palme and Ingmar Bergman had summer houses here. I myself have recently been here for the first time in many years. And I can state that it is just as beautiful there today as it was in the 80s and 90s.
