The Museum of icons

The Museum of icons in the past, the church, which is located in the city of Heraklion.  Here the huge collection of icons, most of whom belong to the masters of the brush since the Cretan school of icon painting.  She revived the Byzantine tradition, after the fall of Constantinople.  The museum preserves the work of Michal Damaskinos, Theofanis, Emanuel Jana.  Here is an ancient icon of the Virgin with the Child, which attracts the attention of all tourists.
